Carroll Center for the Blind, Newton MA |
|
The Carroll Center serves the needs of blind and visually-impaired persons by providing rehabilitation, skills training, and educational opportunities to achieve independence, self-sufficiency, and self-fulfillment. The St. Paul building is a former carriage house and stable that has been used by the Center for over 50 years. The 2006 renovation was a design-build effort led by Curtis Construction Company Inc which restored the exterior and created offices for the Community Mobility and the Educational Services programs, and provides housing for special summer and school vacation learning programs. |
