Doubletree Boston Hotel, Boston MA

Doubtree Boston Hotel was created from 4 buildings comprising the Don Bosco Technical High School between Boston's theater district and Chinatown. Two buildings in brick and limestone were built in the 1920's as a public vocational school. Additional buildings were built in 1971 and 1985. A new wing, visible at the left of the upper photo was built in 2000 as part of the hotel project, creating a total of 268 rooms plus conference space, restaurant, and a café. The gymnasium and swimming pool area of the school were turned into a branch YMCA which also serves hotel guests.
