Harbor Point Apartments, Dorchester MA

 

Harbor Point Apartments on Boston's waterfront, is the conversion of a failed '50's public housing project to private ownership, mixing 348 subsidized and 935 market units.  Apartments range in size from one to six bedrooms.  11 existing buildings were completely redesigned and rebuilt, and new townhouse and apartment buildings were added.  During the design phase of the project Russell Scott Steedle & Capone coordinated  the work of the design architects, establishing design standards, simplifying and rationalizing design and construction methods, and suggesting ways to meet the project budget.  Russell Scott Steedle & Capone had full Architectural responsibility for the $121,000,000 project during construction.
