Yale University Library Storage FacilityHamden CT The Yale Library Storage Facility is the University's archival storage and retrieval facility for both books and artifacts. The processing area and storage module designed by RSS&C has become the standard first phase closely replicated by institutions around the country. Yale and our consultant team determined that six aisle storage modules provided 150% greater capacity at only 120% greater cost than four aisle modules for institutions that accession about 500,000 volumes per year. Twenty-aisles of storage were added in five modules over two phases. |

The Harvard DepositorySouthborough MA The Harvard Depository is Harvard University Library's archival media storage and retrieval facility. It houses over 7.5 million books, the largest collection within the Harvard University Library system. It provides a specialized climate for the preservation of books and other paper-based materials that will extend the useful life of these materials by 200 years. Separate spaces provide archival environments for other media formats, such as motion picture film, microforms, and magnetic tapes. Principals of Russell Scott Steedle & Capone Architects have been involved in the design of this facility since its inception in 1986 through the 7th phase completed in 2009. |

Gregory E. Bulger Performing Arts CenterBoston College High School, Boston MA The Gregory E. Bulger Performing Arts Center at Boston College High School is a state-of-the-art, 351 seat performance space featuring professional quality sound and lighting. Housed in the space that was once occupied by the Dever Gym and Auditorium, the Bulger Center is used for performances, lectures, classes, and assemblies at BC High. |

Boston Baptist CollegeMilton MA The first of three planned dormitories was built for the Boston Baptist College in 2006 by a design-build team lead by Curtis Construction Company. It houses 35 students in double and triple rooms and includes a common room and student laundry. The simple program combined with the design-build process resulted in a very economical cost of $30,000 per bed. |

1 East Lennox StreetBoston MA 1 East Lennox Street is a newly constructed 26 room SRO in Boston developed by Caritas Communities Inc. with assistance by Massachusetts Housing Partnership and the City of Boston. Each 350 sq ft suite contains living area, closets, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. A retail store faces Washington Street in accordance with the City of Boston's "Main Streets" program. The building exterior features over 1700 pieces of cast stone trim. |

Carroll Center for the BlindNewton MA The Carroll Center serves the needs of blind and visually-impaired persons by providing rehabilitation, skills training, and educational opportunities. The St. Paul building is a former carriage house and stable that has been used by the Center for over 50 years. The 2006 renovation restored the exterior, created offices, and provides housing for special summer and school vacation learning programs. |

Doubletree Boston HotelBoston MA Doubtree Boston Hotel between Boston's theater district and Chinatown was created from the Don Bosco Technical High School originally built in the 1920's as a public vocational school. A new wing was built as part of the hotel project, creating a total of 268 rooms plus conference space, restaurant, and a café. The gymnasium and swimming pool area of the school were turned into a branch YMCA which also serves hotel guests. |

Vine Street SRO ResidenceMelrose MA Vine Street Melrose MA is the latest SRO developed by Caritas Communities Inc. Originally a single family residence, the former nursing home included an adjacent barn and several utilitarian additions. It has been transformed into a 14 room residence with private baths and common kitchen, common room and laundry facilities. The exterior has been restored to fit within the historic urban context. |

Pleasant Ave. is a 20 room SRO in Boston redeveloped by Caritas Communities Inc. with assistance by Massachusetts Housing Partnership in conjunction with the City of Boston using Permanent Plus loan program. It was designed in accordance with the Secretary of Interior's standards for Historic Preservation. |
